Hello there! Welcome to my corner of the internet.

My name is Tianxiao, and I love making stuff—stuff that runs, rolls, flies, shines, explodes, makes sound, writes, infers...especially things that people actually use. I don't like wars, bureaucracy, mean people, tabs in code indents...the usual deal.

Here are some quick fun facts about me:

1. I'm studying at a university that takes me to a new continent every year—Minerva University. ~120 other people from my cohort and I live and study together under Minerva's active learning approach.
2. I have only been to school for 2 days before university. I have been homeschooled because my parents didn't believe in the exam-oriented education system. For the most part, I taught myself under the curriculum that my parents custom-designed for me.

Quick run of my passions:

1. Tinkering. I love making stuff, whether they end up working or not. Since getting my hands on computer programming at 10 years old, I couldn't stop building.
2. Aviation. This is by far my strongest passion. If you want a 1-hour lecture on weather systems, ILS, IFR, GPWS, MCDU, or the A380, just make sure to mention the word "airplanes" around me😉.
3. Taylor Swift. My favorite album is somewhere between Lover and Midnights.
4. Movies! I absolutely adore Interstellar and Groundhog Day.
